ZZ plant is one of the most popular plants in offices and homes throughout the world. It's often used because its adorable glossy green leaves are easy to maintain. The ZZ plant (also known as a money tree) has very dark green leaves that have been known to help cleanse the air and absorb carbon dioxide like normal houseplants because of their compound chlorophyll. Zamioculcas zamiifolia is its formal name and it grows wild in Africa, which is the place that its species was discovered. ZZ plant is a little gem that could grows in poor soil, low light and even inside if care is given to grow it. It blooms very occasionally, producing white flowers like those of a peace lily. ZZ plants are excellent air purifiers according to NASA which remove toxins such as xylene, toluene and benzene from the air.

Essential Requirements to Keep Plant Healthy
 
Sunlight         
At least 3-6 hours of preferably morning sunlight a day is ideal for plant to grow well and natural direct bright light for the rest of the day.
 
Watering      
Water it when the dirt in the topsoil (1-2 inches) feels dry to the touch. Do not overwater or let the plant sit in water. Water it thoroughly during the summer months and reduce watering during winter and rainy season.
 
Soil     
The soil should be well drained and fertile, rich in organic content for growing plant.
 
Fertilizer       
Fertilize your ZZ plant with a standard houseplant fertilizer during the summer and at the beginning of spring.
